About Department

The Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) department was established in the year 2006. The department offers an Under Graduate (UG) program in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, full time Post Graduate (PG) programs in Electrical Power Systems & Power Electrics and Drives and a part-time PG program in Electrical Power Systems which provide a platform for bright graduates and to conduct research in state-of-the-art technologies. The B.Tech in EEE at JNTUA College of Engineering Pulivendula is one of the most sought after programs in the state of Andhra Pradesh and attracts top 10% students qualifying in APEAPCET. The M.Tech program is also equally sought after by the students qualifying in GATE and PGECET examinations. The department's students routinely receive high scores on national competitive exams like the GATE and CAT. Every qualifying student is hired by a number of multinational corporations operating in the IT and financial sectors, as well as national and international businesses and Indian public sector businesses. About 30% of the graduates enroll in doctoral and postgraduate programs at prestigious universities in India and beyond.
The Department of EEE's main objective is to generate young engineers with a high degree of knowledge, competence, and resourcefulness who can excel in a range of job profiles. The curriculum offers a solid foundation in both the technical and analytical facets of EEE in order to accomplish this. Additionally, it gives students lots of chances to work on mini-projects, hone their communication skills, look into industrial internships, and compete in national and international design competitions.
The department employs 12 faculty members: 03 are with Ph.D. degrees, 05 are pursuing Ph.D., and the rest members are M.Tech graduates from reputable colleges. Faculty members publish papers in reputable national and international journals and participate in seminars, conferences, and faculty development programs offered by IITs, IIMs, NITs, and Universities on a regular basis. Modern lab and infrastructural facilities successfully support the teaching and learning process. All the Students are encouraged to do certification courses offered by APSSDC and MOOCs offered by IIT’s. Students are supported to actively participate in Co-curricular, extracurricular and professional chapter activities.
