About Department

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2011 with an intake of 60 with a goal not only to design and construct, but also ensuring adherence to strict quality and safety standards. Proficient in utilizing the latest engineering software and technologies to optimize project efficiency. The department has well equipped laboratories, including Automatic Compression Testing machine of 3000 KN capacity with stress & strain controlled. Unconfined compression test, Direct shear test, Triaxial shear test and well-established computer lab, Total Station equipment, Los Angeles abrasion test, ductile test, universal compression testing machine 1000 KN, etc..., the teachers also participate in academic and professional counselling of students. The department aids in student placements by organizing group discussions, mock interviews, essay writing, debates, aptitude tests, technical quizzes, etc. The alumni of the department are occupying distinguished positions in reputed organizations and often contribute in the development activities of the department.

Department Highlights:

• The department has been framing syllabus since R13 & other regulations R15, R19, R20, R23, so on.
• Open elective courses of wide spread in different streams of engineering & sciences.
• 2 months community service internships are a part of curriculum
• Mooc’s are part of curriculum & credit
• Alumni placed in various Govt Depts like R&B, Central Railways, Banks, Irrigation Depts, Group I,II& IV, and Grama Sachivalayam.
